AVINASH TRIPATHI

Avinash Tripathi is one of the most versatile faces of Indian media who has carved a niche for himself in the field of cinema and arts. Starting his career as a theatre actor-director with India's leading theatre group 28 years ago, he then became a news anchor, producer and director of a popular TV program, 'Drishti' for Doordarshan. He has also directed the famous political talk show 'Do Took' broadcasted on ETV. He has worked as the bureau chief of Aankho Dekhi, a pioneer program on crime reporting aired on Doordarshan news. Avinash has made a film on international terrorism namely AB BAS which was critically acclaimed by several media houses/ film festivals of India. He has worked for different organizations and channels as a producer and executive producer like Doordarshan, ETV and Lashkara channel. His docu-fiction film on legendary Urdu Poet and Javed Akhter’s maternal uncle Majaz Lakhnavi film was well appreciated in several film festivals and so on.

Avinash has bagged more than 40 national and international awards for his outstanding contribution in the arts. He has got the WOW award of Art & Culture Personality par excellence and Filmmaker on social issues and outstanding writer awards in different years. He was awarded by the prestigious Public Relations Society of India for his social films and columns on cinema. He has worked with national and internationally renowned directors like Jimmi lou Steambarge. He has compared more than 60 stage shows of different genres from international conferences to Gazal Night. His regular column ‘Teesra Pahlu’ has become very popular among the youth. He is a member of several film organizations. He has taught film studies in Amity School of Communication, Amity University, Rajasthan. In addition to his core area, he has also looked after media and public relations of Amity University, Rajasthan. He has judged several national and international film festivals as a jury member and hosted several heavyweight panel discussions on national & international cinema. He is writing screenplay and dialogues for big production houses and corporates. Avinash’s lyrics have been sung by legendary Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shaan, Kavita Seth, Anweshaa, Abhishek Ray, Anupama Raag and other renowned singers and composers. Besides this, he is a regular face on different TV channels debating on issues related to cinema, culture & arts.

Avinash is the Founder Director of the International Art Festival which was held in 2018 at Jaipur.

To give a bigger canvas, Avinash has converted this festival into the International Art, Culture and Cinema Festival (IACCF).
